I just saw a newspaper article about a group that is making up gift baskets for hospice patients. An amaryllis bulb kit is included in every basket so the terminally ill persons can have a beautiful plant to quickly grow and bloom on their windowsills. I think that is a lovely idea.

i agree..thats a super idea.. not difficult to
care for and a cheery flower..
