Check your plug-in thingee- sometimes the connection gets cruddy or whatever- or try a different USB port.

Mine has lasted a long time- when the batteries get weak the curson wanders, but other than that no problem, although there is a big range in quality & price.

Contact Logitech support. There is a 3 year (limited) warranty on mice.

Their warehouse is in Olive Branch, MS. Warranty returns as well. Service may be in CA, I dont recall for sure. I dont remember any repairs coming into [our] warehouse.

Try disconnecting the mouse sensor (?or whatever it is called?) from the USB port for a few minutes. Then reinstall it and see if the mouse doesn't go to working. That has helped reset mine when it has been acting weird.

Just an afterthought, did you put the batteries in right? lol

And save some cheeses for me...

Pod , nothing to disconnect . It's wireless . It worked when I turned it off and next day it wouldn't work when I turned it on . I'm not going to bother with trying to return it for repairs , I'll just get another , they aren't that expensive , and don't have paperwork , it was a gift

    Thanks for the suggestions .

Actually the mouse has to have something installed on the computer to recognize it.

Mine has an insert in the USB port that receives the mouse signal. (photos)

That was what I meant but yours may have just been a program installation. Sorry...

I have a DUH to report . Went to Walmart and bought another mouse . I thought you just turned it on and went .So much for me being a nerd. I didn't know it had a thingy plugged in until I got the new mouse and saw it in the pkg .I didn't put the original one in so didn't have a clue . Didn't see your last post until I got home with the new one .
Long story short , the old one must be broke 'cuz I switched everything around and still no go for that one . New one works great , like new again . Happy dance for everyone from me and thanks for being so patient with this dummy . Hugs ( The new one was only 15 bucks . ) If it breaks , I can replace it for a little more than pocket change .Still warranted for three years .

Good to hear you have corrected the problem.
These days with electronics, cheap is good as it is disposable.
Besides who keeps all with all those blessed' receipts!!!\

The only other problem is how much else we spend when we enter the WM doors...
