    ... or possibly what is sold as Thalictrum delavayi?

    I think T. delavayi is a cultivar or hybrid but it could very well be what you suggested.

    I was waiting to find out what this plant is Rosina...it is such a beauty and your photos show it off very nicely! not sure it would do well in my garden through (no swampy parts although it rains like crazy for at least 4 months of the year) :-{

    It's a species (see the link, The Plant List, etc.) although there is at least one cultivar ('Hewitt's Double').
