I have recently bought a place near Darwin, NT, Australia. The previous owner has lots of plants, some of which I am unable to identify. This is one of them. When I first saw it I thought the leaf was that of Bletia purpurea but the leaves were much larger. They grow to about 2 feet high but can be up to 3 feet bending over. Now I have noticed the small yellow flowers at the base. I', hoping someone will help me identify this plant.
I have found a previous thread that looks like the same plant!
Molineria capitulata, or palm grass which is a native of far north Queensland rainforests.
