Can anyone tell me what type of spider this is? It was found in my friends' house in the Lake Geneva area in Switzerland

This is a huntsman spider (family Sparassidae); likely Micrommata virescens - http://www.biopix.eu/micrommata-virescens_photo-45557.aspx
They are harmless.
