Does anyone know what type of Tumbleweed this is? I may have two different types...during the spring one is all green the other has purple veins. Not sure which is which this time of year, but have several pics.

    Thanks

I don't know enough about the genus to know the distinguishing characteristics, but there are only 3 species that occur in AZ: Salsola tragus, Salsola paulsenii, and Salsola collina. If you look around at pictures of those three, maybe you will be able to see which one looks most like yours.

If you are comfortable enough with some technical talk, try the Jepson Manual to compare the three species that ecrane3 mentions. http://ucjeps.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/get_IJM.pl?tid=79165
