i have read and searched for information about blackberries, can someone give me some pointers, my rasberries did quite well on a y trellis as they are black jewel and all most free standing, please if you have any pointers i canuse it be greatly appreciated, thank you
Around here (San Francisco Bay Area) blackberries grow wild. The problem is not how to grow them, but how to keep them under control.
The 'tame' varieties may no be quite so rampant, but if I was to try any, I would set up a defensible space around them so I could grub out spreading roots, and a trellis system so I could prune them pretty hard so they stay where they belong.
