This is the first time I have tried that in a fairly cold winter area. I noticed that the onion seed farmers, and garlic seed farmers do that all the time here, so wondered if it would work in the vegetable garden. I was out yesterday pulling off the mulches to the ground (not on the plants) and see that they look pretty good, the taters I won;t know anything about until later in the spring.
Any one else in zone 5-6 do fall plantings of these?
