    looks more like E. cristagalli to me, but there are multiple species with a similar flower form. E. rubrinevia is more slender.

    I hope you don't have to fight the Erythrina Gall Wasp in NZ...

    hypens are now obsolete in botanical names, so, it's E. cristagalli
