Growing from the rocks?

I work in the garden everyday and somehow missed this Rebutia miniscula growing and opening. What a delight. Xuling

Lovely color, I wish they were hardy for me.

I have had more C/S die on my this year. than ever before. I have pulled out probably 15 plants. And another, Rebutia 'Sunrise', that I hope is not dead, just in limbo. Most of them died due to the prolonged freeze we had, and a few from wet roots (which happens every winter). That is what happens with a garden. Xuling

So true but I do try to select plants that at least have a chance with my climate. Lately I only buy cactus native to TX and so far they have done pretty well.
