i purchased this off a clearance table - its marked perennial but i have no idea what it is in order to care for it. any help appreciated! thanks!

it may be a Salvia, perhaps a form of S. farinacea. Flowers will make an ID more likely.

It could be Salvia longispicata x farinacea 'Mystic Spires' - one of my favorites.
