It's a Nelumbo. Not sure which species though. Maybe Nelumbo lutea, which has white to pale yellow flowers.

Sorry, part of my message got cut off. It was intended to say:
"Possibly a white form of Nelumbo nucifera or one of several white-flowered hybrids."
Slocum lists 4 white forms of N. nucifera (though the usual form is pink).
