My fish have been in their winter "homes" and I haven't seen them in months, however it is warm and they are out today. One of my koi has some sort of an injury or disease...does anyone have any idea what it is or how to treat? These are my babies, and I'm really worried. Thanks in advance for your help!

Just wanted to post an update: It looks like it's a scrape that is healing well. Whew!

Thats great Sunny. When I first looked at round place on left side if facing fish I thought an ulcer was starting. They are usually curable but are a real mess.

Glad your fishies are ok.

When I looked at the first photo, I too thought it might be an ulcer starting. I then looked at the other fish - Sunny, are you talking about the white are on the second fish in the first photo?

I am just concerned it may be white spot. What is your water temp?

For scrapes and Boo boos, a good dosing of Melafix will go along way. For white spot, the Maracyn will work wonders.
