I bought the plant in the first picture today as aloe walmsley's variegated. It has a three inch stem and small teeth on the leaf margins and a small pointed end. There was a pot filled with them at California Cactus center. I asked to buy the pot but they sold my a cutting. I have aloe walmsley's bronze variegated. Mine has no leaf teeth and no stem. Age maybe has somthing to do with this? Shown in the following picture. (2nd) I don't think it is the same plant..

Anyhow.

Thanks for looking.

Please tell me what you think... Other than quit buying plants without tags!

Robin

bad focus but better for size reference. All the aloe heads where about the same size.

I have this same 'Aloe'... pretty sure it is a Gasteraloe, though maybe more Aloe than Gasteria... never seen a name on it, though

Hi robin,
Your second picture reminds me of Haworthia scabra.
As for the first one - I have no idea. This flood of Aloe hybrids around is driving me crazy!! I'm battling enough with the species...
