Found this little shrub blooming in my shade garden today, it is about eight to ten inches tall. I don't know it is so small due to being in the shade or if it is suppose to be that way. Any Ideas?

Maybe a Prunus glandulosa seedling (I remember a recent ID request for a plant that looks a lot like yours).

I do remember seeing a post about a flowering almond that was actually a flowering Cherry I think.
