Since about a month my garden has literally been infested by these bugs. I just wanted to know if they could be harmful to plants. Thanks in advance

This is Pyrrhocoris apterus, a bug in the family Pyrrhocoridae. Commonly known as the firebug, it does not appear to be a serious pest -
