What kind of bug is this?

Greenwood, MS

This little guy and lots of his family have invaded my garden. Eating on all my plants including vegetables. This is the first year I have ever seen this bug but they are everywhere. No bigger than a fly (in perspective) this bug does not fly.

This insect would not be eating your vegetables, as it is a predator. It's a larva of a lady beetle; most likely the Asian many-spotted lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis) -
