10 Large lemons- approx 2 cups juice needed use left over lemons to add after mixture is done to slice and float in pitcher
1 & 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp salt
6 cups water

combine above and bring to a boil stiring occasionally to disolve sugar
let it cool

then 4 cups watermelon cut up in small chunks
1 cup water put in blender and blend till pureed/ Strain into pitcher
Add lemon mixture and stir

Makes about 12 cups add ice and enjoy its good

That sounds like a tasty summer drink. Too bad lemons are so expensive here (2 for $3).

We grew watermelons in SC when I was a kid; the long light colored ones sold for 25. They don't grow well here in the VA mountains at all, and if they do, they are not tasty.

Due to surgery, I am on a liquid diet for next few months. I have been craving watermelon. I can't wait to try this! Thanks
