Hi, i was walking in the garden today when i noticed this tropical looking mosquito/fly sitting on a branch.. I have never seen this one before, can any of you help me identify it?

This is a scorpionfly (order Mecoptera) in the family Panorpidae -
They are predators on other small insects.
