This is a bit like a pencil cactus but its stems are 'square'. It breaks easily at the joints that can be seen in the photos. Does anyone know its real name?

Cissus quandrangularis?

I found it in a large planter and asked for a little bit to root. The stems are about a quarter the size of a #2 pencil.

looks like a Rhipsalis species to me.

I agree... Got one 1/2 price and revived it. Doing great now. Enjoys more shade than most cacti. A little on the more humid side too. Enjoy!
