SOLVED: Pink flower

My friend was asking about a photo of a flower that he took a picture of saying it looks like a poppy but not sure what type though. Would someone be able to correctly identify this flower for me so I can relay the message back to my friend who saw it while on his cycling trip through the area. Thank you.

thank you for the reply. My friend might be a little bit confused by the scientific name for the flower. Is there another common name for this variety or would it be just a poppy otherwise.
