SOLVED: Need a name for this tree

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

I have this tree in my yard.. It is tall, big.. the flower looks like a hibiscus, it is light pink. I have seen lots of this around in people yard.. It does make seeds, big ball pod.. Do you know the name of this.. The leaves looks like maple gum shape..

This could be a hibiscus that is called Confederate Rose or Cotton Rose. Some others in this group are Rose of Sharon, or Althea, cotton, Rose Mallow, okra, and Manihot.

Florence, AL(Zone 7a)

Looks like Confederate Rose to me, too---Hibsicus mutabilis.
Do the flowers change color as they age?
