Looks like a Cistus. Were the leaves sticky? Is this in an area where cultivated plants are or native?

I didn't touch it, I cannot tell how sticky the leaves are. The plant was in a sandy watered soil, besides a small creek where I have found some not endemic plants like: nicotinia glauca, soncus, holyhock and a morus rubra tree. The plants grows to the sides and not upwards.
