question re: piglets

mid central, FL(Zone 9a)

does anyone know at what age they start running around?
we have wild hogs here aplenty but i've only started seeing them this year.
early this morning we had 3 adults (i think all females since they weren't all that big) and a mess of babies in the back yard down by our lake. the babies were small, a little smaller than a jack russell with short legs. just wondered what age they would be.
thanks!

I would guess them to be three or four weeks old at that size.

thanks! i was thinking at least two but wasn't sure. man, were they cute....but deadly to the gardens and lawns......sigh.

I would think the bigger ones would make tasty sausage. LOL

we've hired a trapper and the cage is in place. yes, people around here do eat them but i've heard they are very wormy...yuck...and i won't be eating any. they are really doing a number on our field by the lake.
here's just a small area they've torn up yet again. from the far shot, it doesn't look like much but over this summer, that entire lawn area was tilled/rooted up. we have to take the truck and keep running over it to smash it back down. luckily, it doesn't take long to re-establish the "grass" down there.
