Hi all,

Woke up this morning to find this little man hanging to a curtain. I quickly snapped some pics and popped him in a glass (he's still there).

Please could you advise what species it is as im really not sure.

It's a male spider in the genus Steatoda - some species in this genus often are called 'false widow spiders' - there has been a flurry of alarmist articles about these spiders in the press recently, but they really pose little real danger to humans -
