Very thorny stem as one can see, I've been told it's a cactus... if it is, which one is it? Thank you!

It looks to be one of the large-leaved Thai hybrids, and while they have E. millii in them, they are strongly influenced by other species.

I agree with Thai hybrid Euphorbia - there are very many different ones. I beeive that they are collectively referred to as the Poysean Hybrid Group.
