I have this plant that I do not know what it is. It was given to me from someone who moved away. I've seen a very large version of this plant in a hanging basket and the plant surrounds the basket and hangs down below it. When you squeeze its watery leaves it gives off a very pleasant minty smell. Can anyone identify it?
If the leaves were darker, I'd say a type of Kalanchoe maybe?
The person who gave it to me knew the scientific name but not any common names. Unfortunately I've forgotten what she told me. I remember she told me she thought it did not like very wet soil conditions. It seems to do very well with infrequent watering. I've started snipping pieces off it and planting them in new pots of soil. So far all the new plants are doing fine.
A Plectranthus. Thanks very much. I'm looking forward to finding out the species.
Plectranthus tomentosa. Also known as Vick's Plant. This is great. Thanks very much.
