When I began working in this greenhouse, these plants looked pretty sad. It looks like over watering, but I would like to know what type of plant this is to see if I can bring it back to health.

Looks like a crinum to me. They don't look that bad but they do need a larger pot and planted maybe 3 inches deeper. These are bulbs.

Have you checked to see if it is a bulb? I would do that so to rule that out.

I suspect it is a Hymenocallis of some sort. If so, all the green top may die off completely, in the same way as Narcissus and Hyacinth bulbs.
