Looks like it has tarantula characteristics

This appears to be a hacklemesh weaver (family Amaurobiidae) - http://www.spiderzrule.com/spiderphotos05/spider1may05_small.gif

Awesome thank you... did some reading on this species too and lots of stuff close to home
