speedie can you teach them how to shovel?having a white out here since 7 still coming down hard..we are running out of room,my whole street looks like we're buried in a mountain,no where else to stack the snow.:((
(Dem, I am keeping your whole area in my prayers, I hear it's scary with all that snow; piled so high all first-story windows are buried! I also hear from Ma in Law that snow is being dumped out onto islands in the Lake. Eeek! Will give squirrels a crash course in shoveling before I send 'em your way... with baby shovels, too!) :)
About the same. We got about a foot of snow in the last storm. I was going to get bigger tires on my recumbent trike so I could ride around with my dog in the back field, but the last two snow storms made that a bad idea. I'd need to have skis put on it now.
(Helen, you are funny: "I'm not a skier, so I'm not delighted". LOL! Question: Do either of you chain up your tires for driving? Would think chains would be the norm, since it's normal to get a lot of snow each winter in both y'all's parts. (MI and VT).
(what's a fire without 'em?)
(When I lived in PA, it was a regular thing each winter for everyone to chain up. Ma in Law has said, when she's asked people about chains for her tires, they look at her like she's nuts. I don't get it.)
(growing up in southwestern PA, people always used chains on their tires in the winter. Just thinking, with all the horrible accidents I've been hearing about in MI, I guess those tires aren't really that good after all. People think "I have 4-WD, I'm invincible!", then go out and drive stupidly on ice and realize they are not. Sadly, they, or others, pay with their lives for that lesson). =(
Dem, Ooooh YEAH, she's well sick and tired of it to last 3 lifetimes!! How about you, had enough yet? Snow, more snow, MOUNTAINS of snow, and freeeeeeeeezing cold to make sure the mountains don't go anywhere. No Thank You!
