Started out clear and cool (will avoid saying cold) 60f at 7am. Humid, southerly winds pushed temps to 80f by 11am. Cloud cover increasing as rain front starts to approach from the west. Should be wet all day tomorrow and Monday (so they say). Like working in a sauna outside.

I will get a pic or 2 , problem is . I might really care? , lol

Weather is frustrating when it "gets to you" I am really tired of the cold outside , I am happy for indoor warmth and heat , but it just does not do for me after months and months of walking through a door and saying, hearing and or thinking BRRR or It's Cold .
Redundant ...

Dallas was foggier than pea soup and humid. It felt awesome @ 4am- slept with windows down awesome. I left tho and am home in the north side of Houston. Not as far advanced into spring as Florida was, wondering if the drought is affecting how the trees are still dormant in some areas, redbuds in bloom in the next mile.. 74* with 79% humdity, winds sse at 9mph. Winter in Houston is so much more friendly than summer...

Currently snowing and sleeting. 14 degrees out. Winter Storm warning in effect til sometime tomorrow. Travel Advisories out too.

Roads are a mess and I had a heck of a time getting my windshield cleared. The ice refused to scrape on one side, the heater was barely touching it and my fluids worked so so. Got it cleaned and by the time I hit the highway (with truck warmed up and heat coming out) my windshield was iced over again and I had a hole to look out of.

Winter Storm Titan arrived in the St. Louis area during the wee hours bringing freezing rain followed by sleet and temps dropped from mid 40s to mid teens. Most church services have cancelled; including mine. Titan isn't finished here yet. We have more sleet and snow on it's way.

Wind chill currently around 2 F, but that will be the actual temp tonight. Winter is still very much with us in the Central Midwest.

Thick cloud cover, light southerly winds and light rain with moderate bursts. Started out at 61f early this morning and has only risen to 69 by 1pm. Light snow on summit of Mauna Kea.
Rain system will move slowly east giving us continuing rain through tomorrow morning.
The rain is generated by a low pressure system moving across the Pacific and may be the next west coast storm.

Rain has moved east of the State, out into the Pacific. Its has left us with grey skies, no wind and cool temps. No sun for three days. Not above 68f today. Great for yard work. Should keep cool temps for a couple of days and then winds will turn to the south again. This is our Hawaiian winter on the Big Island.
The tropical foliage still keeps growing except for the lawn grass which gives me a rest from mowing. Orchids, heliconias, gingers are all blooming.

What a change today. Perfectly clear deep blue sky but hot and windy as the next weather front approaches.
Southerly wind from the tropics is moderate and gusty. Temp at 2pm 84f with a reverse wind chill factor due to not only the southerly nature of the wind but it blows across black lava fields which enhancing the heat making it feel like 86f.

I don't know what all of the pollen is from besides some domesticated plants. The web site says alder, juniper, and ash. We do have a lot of junipers and ash around here.

No wind, no rain, grey skies. Latest weather system came down the island chain from the north west, dumped all its rain on Oahu and Maui and had nothing left for us except the cloud. Might just get a few clouds. The heat has gone, should be mid 60s to mid 70s today.
No exciting weather forecast for the next week.

I really did go camping two hours north of here for 8 days. We had a day in the 80's, a night in the upper 30's a whole solid day of pouring down heavy flooding rain, several cloudy days but at least no rain, and then two gorgeous sunny days in the low to mid 70's...thank goodness the last two days. We went from shorts and flip flops to thermal underwear and sweat suits...muck boots, and back to shorts and flip flops again.

70s for high today. Had some brisk winds too. Last night a John Deere dealership caught fire in a nearby town. They also had a house fire to fight last night and another one earlier today.

Here's the article on the dealership fire. http://fox4kc.com/2014/03/14/john-deere-fire-leaves-memories-in-flames-and-urgent-work-to-do/

4pm, grey clouds, breezy tradewinds 76f. Forecast for the rest of the day and tomorrow is increasing winds, heavy showers possible through tomorrow. There is a wind warning up for most of the state, gusts may reach 40 - 60 mph. Advising to take in lawn furniture, be careful during outdoor activities on the beaches and beach parks and be ready for power outages due to tree branches falling. Strongest tomorrow. Wind is from the north east so valleys on the west side of the islands get hit hard as the wind comes over the central mountains and funnels down the valleys, even gets strong between high rise office towers in Honolulu.

I did notice that the snowdrops are up and covered with blooms. Some shrubs and trees have started leafing out. Robins everywhere!

Just caught the sun right on the house this morning, and another pink Orchid Cactus that bloomed last week.

I'm tempted to start collecting Echinopsis. That's a beautiful bloom Kelli. Ebay has seed but that would take three or four years a think.

Must admit misery does love company and boy there are a lot of normally spoiled Canadians ie Southern Ontario and those who live in Montreal that are upset they've had snow on the ground for 100 days now. I've seen many of them post this has been a soul crushing winter.

Just have to say last winter we had snow for 180 days with snowbanks that were higher then semi cabs.

I've also noted many Americans have jumped ship and are now posting in Canadian winter posts (they'd be from the Northern States ;) : https://www.facebook.com/251089648271407/photos/a.251092048271167.56433.251089648271407/643989612314740/?type=1&theater

From St. John's NFD
"More snow...15-20 cm in the forecast :p"

From Ottawa, ON
" -20 again this morning. Any time, Spring, any time now."

From Canada's normal hot spot, Windsor, ON
"0c today with sun and a chance of flurries! O_o "

From Gatineau, QC
" Ungodly cold again. When is this going to end? "

From Vancouver, BC
"Magnolia tree in downtown Vancouver/West End" (with pic and they wonder why the rest of Canada hates mainland BC'ers ;)

From Montreal, QC
"-13C this morning with a wind chill of -22C.

Only up to -7C with a wind chill of -15C and sunny! I am speechless. That is 11C below average which is INSANE for late March."

From somewhere East of Manitoba (Toronto, ON going by other posts of his) :
" I've almost given up on the idea that it'll ever be spring-like. What a soul crushing winter this has been (even though it's been sunnier than usual). "

Another ON posting:
" Our March average this year is what our January should've been. "

Currently -11C here (but not unusual for this time of year). *sigh*

Chuckl, hang in there, its just delayed this year and you are holding on to the moisture needed south of you. Vancouver is always unseasonably different than the rest of Canada...53* overcast and windy. A lot like Feb usually is by month end. Are we goin out like a lamb or like someone forgot to reset the season?

Kittriana when that El Nino develops I think you should head up to Canada with your semi. Would so love to meet you and I don't think you will float* away here. While we do indeed have snow it isn't as bad as last year and the year before...unless we get a huge dump in the next little while (please God NO).

*while I see a lot of Texas/Californians are looking forward to the rains that El Nino will bring they are very worried re just HOW MUCH rain they will get. And going by what La Nina brought us I can't blame them (just ask Manitobans whose province turned into a giant lake these past couple of years).

ah I should've known a Texan wouldn't want to experience our winter temps ;o)

Actually was thinking of a Texan trucker that does cross the border often (I may have put up a youtube video of his trip a couple of years ago). That one was of when he travelled up here in the dead of our winter (I think our roads/storms/cold aged him an awful lot). ;S

Now my husband has loved this winter compared to the previous two. Like you he covers a lot of highway daily (within this province) and he is so happy we didn't have too many clippers through this area this year.

Well I too am of Scots descent (though not 100%) but was influenced by my Scots grandfather. Not sure what you dislike though about Canada re the English here (their influence isn't as great as it once was). On the whole our laws (and yours) were based on their system which, compared to many countries, has served our counties well. Now I do understand your dislike of them re the Scots and English relations re history howver.

Now my family are Empire Loyalists (on that Scots side) and we aren't still holding a grudge re what happened to our ancestors and their homes in the States many, many, many moons ago. We still have some fascinating paper work from that time in our house.

Winter here in Nova Scotia does not want to let go. Major blizzard yesterday with hurricane force winds. The only good thing about it was we only got a foot of snow rather than the 2 feet forecast so I guess that's a bonus.
I was getting the green house ready to start my spring seeds but had to dig my way into it this morning. I have a heated seed bed with another cover over it sort of a greenhouse in a greenhouse. Good thing I did not have seeds already started as the power was off yesterday.

Eastjack - Thank you, thank you for the link to the funniest thing I've seen a while. Must be my British sense of humor. That guy is funny and lots of video to watch as well.

Of course that's easy to say sitting here in Hawaii where we have had an almost cloudless day with temperatures over 80f, humid and a light breeze. Got sunburned doing some roof work.
Forecast is for the same tomorrow and then back to tradewinds and frequent showers. Some might be heavy. Yesterday and Tuesday we had heavy showers in the afternoon. Someplaces it was coming down 2 inches per hour.
The Weather Channel was watching your storm very closely but they rarely mention us in Hawaii unless disaster is imminent. They seem to like reporting drama rather than weather. Too many ads and too much "weather on the 8's".
Why is it that other peoples misery makes news. What happened to good news.

Maybe cuz I was on the porch watching my tomato plants fall over. I road my bike right by that siren pole earlier, glad it didn't go off then. ;-) ... I don't think there were any tornadoes anywhere though, just strong winds up to 50mph.

Well yesterday Oahu got water spouts, thunderstorms and small hail, Maui got roads washed out and heavy rain. Here on the Big Island we had a dry morning and then rain that got progressively heavier until late evening and then stopped.
We have a great day today. Warm, humid and so far no rain. All the bad weather should be gone by tomorrow and back to brisk tradewinds with showers.

Went to the pool at the gym for the first time. It is an outdoor pool. It is heated but is just barely warm enough when the temperature is in the 50s. Of course the worst part is going from the pool to the building when you're all wet.
