Hi all,

does anybody know what this bug is. I keep finding them in my flat even though I live on the 5th Floor. There are trees outside, both blossom and horse chestnut trees.

They do look like ladybirds.

Any help would be great.

Many thanks.

Are they really tiny? They look a lot like the specimen ID'd as a carpet beetle on Jeff001's recent post on this forum.

They are the about same size as a ladybird. I only have carpet in the Bedroom. All the rest of the house has laminate.

They are only in rooms with windows and are located on or near the windows themselves.

It does look like a varied carpet beetle (Anthrenus verbasci), a very common species with a cosmopolitan distribution.
