Posted this before and did not get a name so I am trying again. I ordered Indian Pink and got this instead.

Not; I have several astilbes, not the save plant. The stem structure and leaf are quite different.

Not bugbane.
These are new snapshots taken a few mins ago. The plant goes dormant for the Winter. The second pic is to show the stem.

I expected to get Indian pink (Spigelia ) and this plant is not that.

And DG PlantFiles lists Indian Pink as 1) Silene californica, or 2)spigelia marilandica. I have a pink astilbe that looks like your picture... Did you ORDER it as spigelia?

I don't see how the leaf arrangement and shape differ from Cimicifuga... ?
