If you want to stay connected to the internet without being bumped off line check out some of these programs.

I tried several programs that were supposed to help but nothing worked until I changed ISP's. On AOL I got bumped almost every 10 minutes and it sometimes took hours to get back on just to be booted again. Now with my new ISP I have only lost my connection twice in over a year and it only took a second to reconnect!

Hey Wind have you tried any of these if so which ones? They sound great but wondered if anybody had tried them and if there are conflicts with other programs?

windsurfer... I used one of those 'ping' programs several years ago when I had AOL and a dial-up modem. It was made for the Mac, so it's not among those in your link. I don't remember the name, but it worked quite well.

For all AOL users, they now have a program that you can install that will stop you from getting bumped. All you have to do is call them, tell them the problem and they will send you a disc, or you can download it from the web site at least that's what they told me when I cancled my service with them.
