Jen,
I take secret trips while y'all are working. LOL...Just joking...this plant was given to a friend of mine and she in turn gave me a cutting... I think I'll take some cuttings of it and bring them to the FL plant swap.

I got the answer.

it's a Gloxinia sylvatica...common name Bolivian Sunset...Tropical plant.

Gloria, just looked at this and was about to tell you that was what it looked like to me. they have very pretty flowers. got mine at a local trade last spring. i am thinking that was developed at hatchett creek near here, could be wrong. mine stil has some blooms on it.
