I'm looking forward to growing vegetables again after a 4 year lapse. I love cabbage and wondered whether you all increase your yield the way I used to do it at home. Instead of harvesting the whole cabbage, I cut the head leaving a short stump and then made a X-cut in the top of the stump with a knife and within a couple of months a series of small cabbages developed from the cuts. Naturally I was only feeding a small family and this might not suit market gardeners.
