The heirloom tomato round robin is complete. And I'd have to say it was a huge success, even though there were only a handful of participants.
In all, eight seed savers took part. We started with five, then three others joined while it was in progress. In all, 25 varieites of tomatoes changed hands.
I started it with six, and just got the package back with nine---none of which were my originals. It just came in the mail, and I haven't had time to analyze what people put in and took out, yet. But if anybody is interested I'll do so and post the results.
Based on the success of this one, we'll definately do it again in the fall. Another tomato round robin for sure, plus maybe some others. I'm thinking of one on saladings, and another on beans. Anybody else got ideas for one?
