    i have this and know it as silver squill bulb...i have heard the latin name but dont remember it...if i were u i would take some of the dirt off the bulbs as they will smother...the bulb likes to be partly exposed...about 2/3 of the bulb should be above the soil...when i take the babies, i just lay them on top of the soil...good luck

    Red this used to be called Scilla violacea gets little tiny blue and greenish flowers in clusters on a short stem..multiplies like mice!!LOL

    Rose I have a 10 pot of these things They grow like crazy The bulbs sit right on top of the ground Mine are in bloom now in the green house
