They are nice, I have the annual one, let it seed last year, maybe have some self-sown ones this year. I want the blue panda corydalis.

mingsmimi: I got the seed in a seed trade. Ran out of time to plant it in the greenhouse, so just sprinkled the seed on the ground and they came up and bloomed. If they reseeded well enough, I should have plants to share this year. I should know sometime in May. We are still in winter here. Ugh!!!!

I have the yellow one - corydalis lutea. It blooms almost all summer in the shade. They're great plants. haven't tried the blue one yet.

I've grown a blue corydalis for a couple of years but they aren't as easy to please as the other species. There are quite a number of species, the easiest one I've found for me is Corydalis solida which has purple flowers.

We have 2 native corydalis species here. They bloom very early with purple flowers and have tuberous roots. Here's a photo, we call it Kiurunkannus: http://www.koulut.imatra.fi/vnlukio/polut/0/kiurunkannus.jpg

I think here is one yellow species also... have to check, not sure. I can collect you some seeds in summer if you want.
