    If they're crown imperials (Fritillaria imperialis) the plants pong, quite unmistakably stink - as do most Fritillaria, but these are the king of the family!.
    If they're lilies there's not much discernable smell, just a not unpleasant earthy scent.
    Can't do that part of the ID 'on line' lolol!
