Hello Evert - the Corydalis genus is widely used in our gardens here in the UK. Particularly in the woodland garden where they might receive some dappled shade. They like it in between; not full strong sun and not dense shade.
They love a moist, but well drained soil with lots of leaf-mould incorporated.
Here is a pic of a species grown in the alpine house.
That's much prettier than "mine"... :) I think that Corydalis is not very often grown in gardens here - the 2 species just bloom on Spring in the wild. :)
