Maybe this will be a better picture of this iris, this was a surprise iris that came up in the middle of my old iris, they are all usually dark purple so when this one popped up I had to find the name of it!!
Anyone know it??

I went back and looked at all those and the one called Dear Jean or something like that...looks a whole lot like it, cept it didn't have the dots on it...what do you think?

Dear Jean came out in 1996 - I bet yours is probably older than that one.

Yea it could be, but like I said it is the closest one I could find and I went thru every single one of them on that link last night...man I never knew there were soooo many named iris!! it was unbelieveable!!

Yup! And just think there are probably more un-named iris that never were registered. That's one reason it's so important to keep your names with your plants. It's close to impossible to ID one that has lost a name.
