looks just like a bunch of grapes.
found it at top foods of all places.
it looks like the nursery down the street and the top foods got the same shipment of plants. and it was cheaper there. i was a little dissappointed at the nursery over that though.

Yup, it's burro's tail, which is a type of sedum. It's very easy to propagate. Just stick a few 'leaves(I don't know what else to call them)' half way into the soil.

Sedum morganum (AKA Burro's Tail). There are varieties with varying sizes of leaves. Do you still have it? If so, post a new picture, It should be huge by now! Jacq

Hi, Kaelkitty. Sedum morganianum from MEXICO. Called Donkey's Tails in England. Unusual brick-red flowers; likes a bit of shade. I have 2 varieties - the small-leaved one shown and the longer leaved one. Lovely in a hanging pot.

I think it looks more like Sedum furfuraceum than Sedum morganianum! And the variety with longer leaves is Sedum pachyphyllum. There are lots of succulent leaves sedum varieties.

I heard it being called a "money-tree" or a "mother-in-law's tongue". Is the "donkey tail" the official name of it?

Common names are never really official names since lots of people call lots of different things by lots of different names. I think that burro's tail and donkey's tail are both used for this one, over here I've more often heard it called burro's tail but since we don't have official common names I think people will know what you're talking about if you use either burro or donkey tail.

Money plant/money tree is usually Pachira aquatica and MIL tongue is usually Sansevieria which are nothing at all like this plant--and those two plants are fairly well known by those names names so I guarantee you will confuse people and they won't know what plant you're talking about if you use those names for this sedum--I'd stick with burro's tail or donkey tail if you can't remember the Latin name.

Doubt if the original poster is still even wondering what it is since this was originally posted in 2001, not sure why such an old one was bumped up.
