Hello Pals,
On Mother's Day I had a neighbor stop and bring me some lily's that they had promised me from his Mother. I know I really need a picture, but do not have one yet.
The plant is about 2 ft tall and a cross between a lily foilage and corn stalk foilage. The blooms are Dark, Dark Purple and are in a cluster like a geranium, but bigger. But the bloom only has 3 petals and about the size of a quarter, and yellow stamens. It is absolutely Gorgeous. And I was told by them that this plant was used for Ink by the Indians. So they warned me not to get the blooms on my clothes or anywhere because it will stain your clothes and hands. It is a Gorgeous flower and I am looking forward to finding out what it is. They had no clue to what the name of it was. It was there when they bought their house years ago. It multiply's like most lily's and grows in a cluster. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated, so I'll have somewhere to start looking. Please help!
