Just finished reading Will Weaver's new book, "100 Vegetables and Where They Came From," and it's a keeper!

These aren't necessarily the best known heirlooms (well, strictly speaking, not all of them _are_ heirlooms). They 100 of Weaver's favorites. For each of them there's a brief synopsis of it's history, where it comes from, and how it is commonly used for culinary purposes.

I bought my copy from SSE, but I imagine other catalogs have it, and probably Amazon.

I heartily recommend it.
