Has anyone had an orange cat? If so, did he have a strong and unusual personality?

I'm on my first cat with the "red gene." Orange Julius is two weeks shy of his first birthday, and he's, well, weird. Except for Sara, a humane-society tortie, I've had only relatively normal tabbies.

Julius' best friend is Mandy the Mistake, a 75-pound black lab (mom is purebred)/German shepherd (dad is opportunistic neighbor) mix, also a member of this household. They play in the house -- ack! -- this agile young cat and the klutzy dog.

Julius' mom, a feral, has another litter, and I'm *slightly* tempted to adopt either another orange or a Siamese look-alike, but I'm not sure if I can handle a second orange.

Any advice/hints will be appreciated.
