I would like to have the name of this plant. I have been told that it is a Josephine but I am not sure.

I don't believe it's Josephine - they have double blooms. Try checking out this page: The International Clematis Society at . I e-mailed them and pointed to a picture of the clematis I posted in my journal at, and a man got back to me within a day with the answer:

Thanks for the links. I found out that it is called Contesse de bouchaud, now I know what to call it.
