I thought it was rare till I saw it for sale at Target (in Novato, Marin, Calif). The label does NOT say poisonous on it! I got mine at the Marin County Fair Garden After-the-Fair plants sale. It has grown easily on my porch in the original pot and continues to bloom and produce seed.
I wish I knew what to feed it and what to do with it in the wintertime. The large leaves are dying in the cold and are being replaced by tiny leaves!
