    This pic might not be the best one yet, b/c the flower is really purple. It grows wild here in the woods, and I dug some up a few years ago and now they are popping up everywhere!! wonder what you call them?? The leaves I think might be sunburnt, b/c it usually grows in full shade.

    Mollybee, I think it's Ruellia nudiflora or R. humilis. Also known as wild petunia. They are in the Acanthus family.

    Yep! Aimee could be right! I have these babies popping up all over every year and they are really pretty!

    Ya know I done a Google search and the Ruellia nudifloria looks kinda like it except for the leaves. I think the family is right, but might be a diffent kind. The leaves on mine are more rounded in shape and the flower blooms close to the leaves in the top. The Rue nudifloria seem to have skinny leaves and the flowers are on stems out by themselves. I think I will try to get another pic of it, and see if it looks the same. The bloom part is right on the money though...looks just like it!
