Yep, that high wind a few days ago did more damage than I realized. When the skies dumped about 7 inches of rain on my ridge the past three days, I ended up with 2 inches of it in the dining room. Checked and found part of the roof in the west garden, scattered in ponds and along paths. I knew I needed to repair it, but thought I could stall until I could afford to do it all metal. Now I will probably be up there trying to figure out how to get packaging tape to hold on the ancient shingles. I watched when the builders put on the new porch roof, because I had metal done there, and I know for a certainty I can't handle it. I can barely lift one end of one sheet off the ground! This is going to take strategy. I think I should have a warm bath and take a nice long nap right now. Maņana!
